[A1]Modify a mouse/keyboard towards a new input device for a computer, and use it to control either an existing computer software or a new one that you've written (in Flash/Processing/Director/C++ or other). The goal of this assignment is to examine the relationship between the physical shape of an interface device and the tasks that it is designed for. Think about Input/Output/Mapping/Energy. In this asigment I degign a prototype for an interactive pillow. By usinig a hidden computer muse inside the pillow, i manegd to get input and know if someone is leaning on it. Then i conected the mouse to the computer and programed a small program using Flash that "knows" to get two events - mouse_click & Mouse_release. Each event trigers a different procedure: A.wake up (no one leans on the pillow) --> mouse_realese --> day procedure --> computer screen shows a day photo of an island and playes the song -Beutiful Day, of U2. B.someone leans on the pillow --> mouse_click --> night procedure --> computer screen shows a photo of a street at night and playis the Smeets song - Asleep.
The mouse is hidden inside the pillow and by pressing the head against it the mouse is clicked. i made a little device (look at diagram billow) so only the left click will work and so the surface of the botton will be larger.
